The price of silver is forecast to range between US$13.2 and US$16.5 over the next 10 months,likely driven by fresh investments in the metal ,said london-based consultancy GFMS ltd.
The forecast is conservative compared with that of analysts quoted by Reuters,who project silver reaching US$20 anounce by the middle of 2008.
GFMS's Iterim Silver Market Review estimated demand for silver for use in jewellery fabrication to have fallen "slightly " in 2007.Lower jewellery production in Italy ,Mexico and the United States contrasts with noteworthy gains in India and China ,it added .
